FAQ

Work collection - Introduction to Ceramics

All intro work is to be collected no sooner than x4 weeks from the original date of the appointed intro to ceramics class. This is to ensure our studio has afraid time to dry, trim, fire, glaze and refire your work. Ceramic making is an extremely lengthy process comprised of manuly more hours than the initial wheel throwing phase.

We ask that any students attending RTC workshops to contact the studio to arrange pickup of the ceramic pieces.

Studio

The RTC studio offers highly personalized one-on-one style wheel throwing pottery experiences for students of all ages and interests. Equipped with work tables and benches, 4x Shimpo VL Whisper pottery wheels, a range of clay and decorative materials and tools, plus ample storage space for belongings and things we don’t want to get messy!

Who can learn?

RTC welcomes all who are interested in ceramics to take part in this wonderful discipline. As wheel throwing is a major part of our term classes, we require a minimum age of 8 and ask that those under the age be accompanied by an adult to ensure a safe and enjoyable creative process!

Timing is everything… Night/Weekend class format

RTC understands that many of us have may have always had a keen interest in learning the craft of ceramics, but haven’t had the free time! We all have commitments and that should never get in the way of expanding our interests. As such RTC’s offers both morning/evening classes weekdays and morning/afternoon classes on weekends, ensuring our space is available to work around your commitments!
